Lately, I've found myself thinking about something unexpected.
The Knicks.
For years, Knicks fans showed up.
They bought tickets.
They wore the jerseys.
They defended their team.
They believed.
Not because the team was winning.
Because they hoped they would.
And the more I thought about it, the more I realized this isn't really a story about basketball.
It's a story about belief.
It's about continuing to show up for something long before you know how the story ends.
As a small business owner, I've come to understand this feeling well.
There are days when entrepreneurship feels exciting and full of possibilities. Then there are days when it feels overwhelming, uncertain, and exhausting.
You spend money before you make money.
You invest time without knowing what the return will be.
You create products and wonder if anyone will connect with them.
You post content and hope it reaches the right people.
You show up to markets not knowing what the day will bring.
From the outside, people often see the highlights.
They see the new collection.
The event photos.
The website.
The finished product.
What they don't always see are the hours behind the scenes.
The learning.
The mistakes.
The second-guessing.
The risks.
The persistence.
The truth is, every dream has an invisible season.
A season where you're working hard but the results haven't caught up yet.
A season where you wonder if what you're doing matters.
A season where you have to choose belief before you have proof.
I think that's why so many people connect with underdog stories.
Whether it's a basketball team, a small business, a health journey, a new career, or the dream of owning a home, we all know what it feels like to want something deeply and not know if it will happen.
We know what it feels like to keep going anyway.
As I write this, I'm in one of those seasons myself.
I'm continuing to grow Bodacious Bijous.
I'm preparing for upcoming events.
I'm working toward becoming a homeowner.
I'm setting goals that feel both exciting and scary at the same time.
And if I'm being honest, there are moments when I question myself.
But there are also moments when I remember how far I've already come.
When I started this business, I didn't have all the answers.
I still don't.
What I do have is a belief that showing up matters.
I believe small steps matter.
I believe consistency matters.
I believe dreams are built one decision at a time.
And I believe that many of the things we admire most in life are created by people who kept going when there was no guarantee of success.
Maybe that's the real lesson.
The Knicks aren't inspiring because they're winning.
They're inspiring because they kept showing up long enough to give themselves the chance.
Maybe we all have something in our lives that deserves that same kind of commitment.
Something worth believing in before we have all the proof.
For me, that includes this business, the people who support it, and the vision I'm continuing to build.
And perhaps that's why jewelry has always meant more to me than simply something we wear.
A piece of jewelry can represent a memory.
A milestone.
A promise.
A loved one.
A dream.
Sometimes it serves as a reminder of who we are.
And sometimes it reminds us of who we're becoming.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
I'd love to know:
What is something you're still believing in, even before you have all the proof?
