It's May over here at Bodacious Bijous! That means that we have gorgeous shoulder-dusting tassel earrings, hippie-boho crystal necklaces, and breezy hoops for summer concerts, lazy beach days, and backyard pool parties on our minds. While summer is the ultimate season for showing off jewelry, it's also a month to put the spotlight on some very important causes.

Arthritis Awareness Month

May is very personal to me because it's Arthritis Awareness Month. As a sufferer of arthritis, I am learning every day about the importance of self-care through exercise and lifestyle change. If you want to chat about some of the things I'm doing to change my diet, strengthen my body, and heal my soul through my arthritis journey, hit me up in the comments over here or on the @bodacious_bijous Instagram page!

National Small Business Week

Another thing that makes May such an important month for me is that National Small Business Week (#SmallBusinessWeek) is kicking off from May 3 through May 9. Being a business owner is my passion! I love that this week highlights all of the commitment, joy, and struggles that go into owning your own small business. Thanks to my customers for supporting small business!

Mother's Day

Let's not forget that Mother's Day is May 8 this year! I was so thrilled to spend much of March and April helping so many of you find the perfect gift for mom this year. If you didn't treat your mom in time for #MothersDay, it's not too late to pick up a little something from the Bodacious Bijous' shop or have something made especially for mom.

I also want to take a minute to wish a heartfelt happy Memorial Day in honor of the bravest of the brave who have fought and sacrificed so much for us all!

Finally, make sure you're picking out some fun new pieces of jewelry for summer 2022.
