While this is one of my favorite months as a jewelry designer, I do have some pretty strong thoughts on the obsession with Valentine's Day! First, let me say that it gives me so much pleasure to be asked by clients to create special signature pieces for their loved ones for Valentine's Day. Many of my clients come to me excitedly as early as summer to ask to have custom Valentine's pieces made for their sweeties! While we may know the joy of being pampered with jewels and chocolates on Valentine's Day, it's important to remember that this is also a day for self-love. Don't be afraid to pamper yourself. It's also important to remember that you don't have to be "in love" to celebrate love. In fact, some of the sweetest custom gifts I've ever been asked to make were for moms, dads, grandmas, daughters, sons, granddaughters, grandsons, nieces, nephews, best friends, teachers, and other treasured loved ones.

Single's Awareness Day

Did you know that the day after Valentine's Day is called Single's Awareness Day? I only heard about this holiday for the first time a few years ago. Taking place on Feb. 15, Single's Awareness Day is a day of celebrating single status. I think that this is a fantastic holiday for reminding us all that our self-worth isn't tied up in our relationship status. I personally love the mental health aspect of empowering people in their couple-free journeys.

My wish is that this February allows you to step into a space of renewed connection and communication in whatever season you're living! I just know that you're going to fall in love with our Heart Collection! I'll see you next month to chat about some exciting collections coming for spring 2023.
